Mrs. Beverly Ann Loy was a loving Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Aunt, Grandmother, and Teacher, of LaFollette. She passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 after a courageous but losing battle with cancer. She will be sadly missed by family, relatives, and friends.
It was her wish to not have a public ceremony. Her family has requested that Beverly’s friends feel free to come to Walters Funeral Home on Friday from 9 A.M. to 7 P.M. at their convenience to register and receive a memorial folder. Interment will be held in Fincastle United Methodist Cemetery.

Lathern Brantley Lathern Brantley, age 92 of LaFollette, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011. He was a member of Mossy Springs Baptist Church in Union Co., but last attended Long Hollow Baptist Church.  Served in WWII from July 1942 until December 1945 and was a member of DAV and TDF.  Preceded in death by parents Annias and Nancy Lynch Brantley; half sisters and brothers, Stella McNeeley and Luvirney Smith, Ed Petree, Austin, Samuel, and Jehue Brantley.Survivors:

Mary Lou Grantage 80, of Lake City, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak RidgeTN. She was born on December 30, 1930 in BricevilleTennessee to the late William Henry and Texi Ann Jarmon Vowell. Mary Lou was a member of the First BaptistChurch in Lake City. She was also a member of the Keen Club, the Ladies Community Club of Lake City, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: husbands Paul Pruett, and Doyle Crawford, and her brother, Billy Ray Vowell.

SEALS, MR. JACK CLARENCE - age 64 of Tazewell, Tennessee was born September 4, 1947. He went be with his Heavenly Father December 20, 2011, at home with his loving and devoted wife, Wilma, and daughters, Shelia and Karen. Jack was saved and baptized in January, 1954, at Seals Branch Missionary Baptist Church. He was ordained as a deacon in June 1972. Jack also served as song leader, church clerk, treasurer and Sunday school teacher. In May 1981, he became a member at Seal Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where he continued to serve as song leader, deacon and Sunday school teacher. In October 2009, Jack became a member of Midway Missionary Baptist Church and remained a faithful and devoted member until his death. On September 29, 1967, Jack was united in marriage to his childhood sweetheart, Wilma Smith. Together, they owned and operated Jack Seals Grocery on State Hwy. 33 for 31 years. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. His love for his family and his country was secondary only to his love of the Lord. Jack was a local farmer who was instrumental in starting the Volunteer Fire Department and Neighborhood Watch in the Howard's Quarter Community. Jack's loved ones who preceded him in death were his parents, Deacon Tom and Vadar (Barnard) Seals; brother Tom Seals, Jr.; sisters Bennie Mae and Judy Kay Seals; nephew Allen Reece; father and mother-in-law, Rev. Robert and Bonnie (Hipsher) Smith. He leaves behind survivors: his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Wilma of Tazewell; daughter: Shelia and husband Rev. Kenny Trent of New Tazewell, TN; son: Rev. Evey Madison Cole, age 94, of Jacksboro, TN passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at LaFollette Medical Center. She enjoyed working word search books, gardening, and quilting. She belonged to Bruce Gap Community Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter E. Cole, parents Will and Susie Madison, son Melvin Cole, brothers Jim Madison, Ed Madison, Ernest Madison, Silas Madison, and Paul Madison, and sisters Georgia Merser and Ethel Phillips.

She is survived by her very close niece Sun Ann Lindsay and family, special friend Kathy Harding, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev Willard McCormick, Rev Bill Borieo, and Rev Richard Shoemaker officiating. Flossie Marie Leach, age 79, of Speedwell, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Member and former Sunday school teacher of Pine Grove Baptist Church.  She volunteered as a Pink Lady and then retired after 24 years service as a CNA at age 74 from LaFollette Medical Center. She loved  her family, her dogs, wildlife, enjoyed watching and feeding birds, her flower & vegetable gardens and especially her iris garden.  Preceded in death by husband, Alex Leach; parents, Charlie & Nellie Butler Lawson.

Kalen Hagedorn age 25, of Yuba CityCA passed away December 8, 2011. He was born in St. Petersburg FL. to the late Gary G Hagedorn and Lisa Shoun Lyons. His father passed away when he was 6 years old in 1995.  He is the 2nd of 3 boys. 

Kalen was a senior airman and crew chief at Beale AFB. Hundreds of Airmen and Officers attended the memorial that the family was so graciously invited to attend. He had been deployed 3x during his 4 years in the air force 2x to UAE and had just recently returned from Cypress

Kalen attended Harrison Academy for the Performing Arts and Lakeland Senior High Schoolin Lakeland Florida where he grew up.  
He attended Skagit Valley College prior to Joining the United States Air Force
in 2007. He was also preceed in death by Grandparents, Gerald H. and Sylvia S. Hagedorn, Uncles, John L. Shoun and Timothy C. Shoun, and Aunt Laura Hagedorn Lebo.

1st Sgt. James Printis Lindsay, age 76, passed away Monday, December 12, 2011 in ClarksvilleTennessee after a long illness.  He was born August 31, 1935 and was a native of Campbell County.  Preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Austin Lindsay; infant son in Germany; four brothers and 1 sister.

Janie Lou Head
Janie Lou Head, of Long Beach, age 68, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in Gulfport.
She was a native of the Gulf Coast almost 40 years.  Her family was her life, and she was an extremely loving wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her parent, Edward Cox and Etta Daugherty Cox; a brother, John Elmer.
She is survived by her husband of 47 wonderful years; Lt. Col. (retired) James A. Head, Jr. of Long Beach; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Head of Biloxi; son, James A. Head, III of Biloxi; sisters, Sue Vena Cox Morton, Nancy Lee Cox Hickey; sister-in-law, Brenda Cox; brothers, Edward Cox, Jr., Ray Dean Cox, Bobby Cox;
Interment is at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, MS.

Anna Mae Queener Disney, age 74, of Lake City, left this life on Monday, December 12, 2011 at Summit View in Lake City. She was born on January 30, 1937 in the Cherry Bottom Community, in Campbell County, Tennessee to the late William Riley and Lillie Mae White Queener. Anna Mae was a member of the Ridge View Baptist Church. She loved to read and quilt. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: husband Rev. William Luke Disney, sister: Mary Ruth Daugherty and husband Conda, brothers: Leon, Hughbon, and Billie Queener, and sister-in-law Viola Queener.
