“Dommer” Paul Goodman, January 13th, 1933, passed away July 26th, 2012, at Lake City Health Care.
Preceded in death by parents Vanelle Lough and Henry Goodman, companion Juanita McGhee, and siblings Pauline Goodman, Earl Goodman, June Harness and Roy Goodman.
Survived by children Darren, Dewayne, and Debbie McGhee, siblings and in-laws T.J. and Faye Goodman, Mary and John Ward, Lola Anderson, MaryRose Harness, Cathleen Abston, Margie Anderson, and Larry Harness and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, Coon Hunting buddies, and former co-workers from Caryville Elementary school, City of Caryville, and Campbell County Law Enforcement. He was the 4th District Constable for many years.
Funeral service will be at 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 31st, 2012 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev Bill Raines officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6-8 pm. Interment will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 1st, 2012 in the Harness Cemetery.

James Edward Hill, age 73, of the Vasper Community in Caryville, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2012 at the Lafollette Medical Center. He was born June 13, 1939 in Cumberland GapTN to the late Eugene Leslie and Imogene Ledger Hill. He was a Marine Corps Veteran who served in Vietnam. James attended the Indian Mound Baptist Church. He loved his dogs, Benji, Tattoo and Boots.  He also enjoyed politics, movies, working on vehicles and Tennessee Football.  James is preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn Ruth Cupp Hill, brothers, John Emory Hill and Leslie Hill and sister, Mildred Stooksbury.

Billy K. Slover, age 85, of Jacksboro passed away on July 29, 2012. He was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading Western books. He was a Veteran of WWII, a member of the McMillan Masonic Lodge #441 in CincinnatiOH and retired from Y-12 in 1992.
Preceded in death by his parents Bessie Riggs Slover and Edward & Ella Slover, wife Louise Slover, sons David and Paul Slover, sister Ruth, and brothers Charles, Clarence, and Edsel Slover.
Survived by his daughters Donna Day & husband Luke of Cumberland, KY and Amanda Wilburn of Knoxville, daughter-in-law Sharon Slover, sister-in-law Lila Slover, grandchildren Jennie and Andrew Glenn, Jeffrey, Conti, and Brian Slover, Jacob and Kelsey Day, and Darrell Slover, and great-grandchildren Aydan and Lofton Slover, Levi and Nathaniel Glenn, and Gabrielle Slover.

Pamela Sue Whiting, age 48, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at her home. She was a very loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her princesses, her granddaughters. She loved working on crafts or anything to do with her hands, watching old movies & cartoons, especially Scooby Doo, and spending time on Facebook with her friends.
Preceded in death by her father Roy D. Whiting.

William Carl Taylor, age 70, of Duff passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. He was a very loving husband of 29 years, father, grandfather, & great-grandfather who loved going to church, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and watching Westerns on TV.

Mary Jean Minton age 73 of Lafollette passed away on Saturday July 21, 2012 at the Tennova Hospice in Knoxville. Mary was a member of Indian Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible tending to her flowers, collecting Jewelry and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Preceded in death by parents Troy and Ella Mae Holman Williams. Brothers Clyde, Robert, Earl and Dewey Williams. Sisters Christine Boshears and Dorothy Wilson.
Survived by Husband of 50 years Charles B. Minton Lafollette.  Son Charles Troy Minton of Florida. Daughter Ella Jean Minton of Knoxville and Special Daughter Tina Petree- Shewbrooks of Clinton. Sisters Anna Jewell Myers and Eva Mae Caldwell both of Lafollette and Lois Allen of Clinton. Grandchildren Charles Tanner Minton ofFlorida and Jeremy Minton of Michigan. EULA 'HOPE' MILLHOFF, 85, of Sidney, OH, passed away at Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney, OH. She was born on March 1, 1927 in LaFollette, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Fred and Lottie (Bowman) Claiborne. She was married to Ray E. McGuire, who preceded her in death in November of 1969. She was later married to Lester Millhoff, who preceded her in death in August of 1979. She appreciated nature, loved life, and was proud of her southern heritage and the experiences she had been blessed with throughout her lifetime. She loved her church and her church family. Her family meant the world to her. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
Hope is survived by her daughter, Suzann Lonsbury and husband Bill, two grandchildren; Joe Whitman and wife Tonya, and Emily Wills and husband Tim, three step-grandchildren, Dawn Roberts and husband Brandon, Jason Lonsbury and wife Stacy, and Brett Lonsbury, three great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren, All of Ohio.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Church of The Brethren, Sidney, OH, with Pastor Brent Driver officiating. Jordan, age 54, of LaFollette passed away Friday, July 20, 2012.  She attended 1st Presbyterian Church of LaFollette and was General Manager of Hardees for 20 years, with 14 of those years at the LaFollette Store.  One of her favorite things to do was to spend time with her grandchildren and watch them play ball.  She never missed a game.  Preceded in death by Father, James Bain; brother, Derek Bain.

Elmer James Sutton, age 68, of LaFollette passed away at home on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. He was a loving brother who enjoyed hunting, farming, and watching Nascar.
Preceded in death by his parents Solomon & Dovie (Miller) Sutton, brothers Henry and Leamon Sutton, and sisters Nancy, Azilee, and Katherine Sutton.
Survived by his son Justin Bolton of Knoxville, brothers Ralph Sutton and wife Cordia and Roy Sutton all of LaFollette, and sisters Lucille Sutton & Ted Taulbee of Dayton, OH, Ethel Rettberg & husband Ivan of LaFollette, and Minnie Goins & husband Wallace of LaFollette.

Otis Lee Swangin, age 71 of Jacksboro passed away Thursday July 19, 2012. He was a member of Davis Chapel Baptist Church. Otis enjoyed playing music with his friends and his grandson; he loved being a police officer and spending time with his family and friends.

Wanda Lay Parker, 90 of Lithia Springs, GA, formerly of LaFollette, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Douglasville Nursing and Rehabilitation in Douglasville, GA. She has been a long time member of Alder Springs Baptist Church, and retired from Imperial Reading Corp. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Sally Lay, husband Earnest Parker, and several sisters and brothers.
She is survived by her daughter Janet Lovett and husband Mose of Lithia Springs, GA; son Eugene Parker and wife Peggy of Memphis, TN; two grandchildren Felicia Evett and husband Wes of Douglasville, GA; Bryan Parker and wife Karen of La Porte, TX; three great-grandchildren Lillian Evett of Douglasville, GA; Aaron Parker and Addisyn Parker of La Porte, TX; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 20 with funeral service to follow at Walters Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Kenneth Hennesy officiating. Mr. David L. Meredith, age 57 of Murfreesboro, formerly of Pioneer, TN passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.  He was a member of the Lions Club, a Certified Public Accountant, and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.  Preceded in death by Mother, Nadine Marcum Meredith.
Survivors:  Beloved Father of Matthew Meredith and wife, Ashley of Johnson City, Michael Meredith of Flagstaff, AZ, and Timothy Meredith of Murfreesboro, TN; Father, Curtis Meredith and wife, Jeanetta of Pioneer, TN; Twin Brother, Dexter Meredith and wife, Jeannie of LaFollette; Brother, Dan Meredith and wife, Regina of LaFollette; Former Wife, and Mother of the children, Ruthie–Marie Beckwith and husband, Mark Friedman of Murfreesboro, TN.  Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

James Ralph Richardson, age 70, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Fort Sanders.
Preceded in death by his parents Willard & Sarah Bell (Jackson) Richardson and son Timothy Scott.
Survived by his wife Kathleen Richardson of Jacksboro, son Perry Lee Richardson and wife Michelle of Speedwell, sisters Wanda Foster, Judy Vinsant, Lana Collingsworth, Carolyn Turner all of LaFollette, and Linda Richardson of Knoxville, grandchildren Derek, Christopher, Timothy, Jamie, and Cody Richardson, and great-grandchildren Landon, Emma Grace, and Morgan Richardson.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev Ronnie Poston and Rusty Provins officiating. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6-8 pm. Interment will be on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 10:00 am at Campbell Memorial Gardens.

Jimmy Winstead of LaFolletteTennessee passed away on July 10th 2012.  He was born in Bulls Gap, Tennessee on May 17th, 1930 to Hugh and Ina Winstead. His early years were spent in KnoxvilleTennessee.  He met Jewell Winstead ofLaFolletteTennessee and they married in 1949. Their marriage lasted 63 years until his death.  Their union produced three sons, Larry Steven, Mark Allen and Hugh Michael.  Jimmy lost his youngest son, Michael in a tragic accident in 1978.  Jimmy worked on the railroad his entire adult life serving in varied positions such as master mechanic and operations supervisor until his retirement in 1986.  His retirement years have been happily spent back in Jewell’s home town of LaFollette where both enjoyed quiet country life with the joyous company of the majority of her family still living in LaFollette.   Jimmy is survived by Jewell (currently residing in Birmingham), his sons, Steve (Margaret) and Mark (Vicki), his six grandchildren, Michael (Rachel), Matthew, Sarah Jane (Josh), John Mark, Anna, and Timothy, and his great grandson, Mark. We thank God for the life and times of Jimmy Winstead.
