Bart Slover, age 87, of Caryville, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at his residence. Bart was born December 25, 1924 in Lake City to the late Leonard and Siler Hatmaker Slover. He was a member of the Clinch River Baptist Church and retired from Union Carbide with 39 years of service. He enjoyed four wheeling, boating, coon hunting, fishing, and working on old trucks. Bart was a friend to everybody and never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, Bart is preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Mae Duncan Slover, his second wife, Janice Byrge Slover, brothers, Jim, Sam, Gene, John and Dotson Slover, sister, Ailene Kesterson and daughter-in-law, Sharon Slover.

Harlan Bray, age 81, of LaFollette passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012 at UT Medical Center. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, hunting & fishing, and he loved his family very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bill & Cora (Kennedy) Bray, his first wife Janie Bray, his second wife Flora Bray, brother Arlie Bray, and sisters Helen & Betty Bray.

He is survived by his son J.C. Bray of LaFollette, sisters Erlene Lowe of Knoxville and Lois Shoopman of Oliver Springs, grandchildren April Greenwood & husband Chris of Jacksboro and Scott Bray & wife Kristy of Caryville, and great-grandchildren Jacob, Nicole, Corey, & Olivia.

James Hubert Bratcher, age 69 of Jacksboro passed away Monday April 23, 2012 at the LaFollette Medical Center. He was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church. He was a very loving husband of 18 years, a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Bratcher loved listening to Gospel music and traveling.

Preceded in death by his Parents, James and Arbell Lindsay Bratcher and Sister, Louise Bratcher.

David Levi Hawkins David Levi Hawkins, age 60 of Lake City, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012 at his residence. David was born on May 23, 1951 in Anderson County to Leroy and Leopal Marlow Hawkins. He was an Army veteran and was also a member of Faith Primitive Baptist Church of Harriman. Kenneth C. Woodby age 76 of LaFollette was called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at his residence in LaFollette on Sunday April 22, 2012. Born on July 13, 1934 in Knoxville, TN to Charlie and Ethel Woodby. Ken was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.

He was preceded in death by Parents: Charlie and Ethel Cross Woodby. Brothers: Harold, Minnis, Frank and Robert Woodby. Sisters: Louise Horner, Gladys Williams, Lillian Thompson and Margaret Lontorfos.

Survived by his wonderful wife of 55 years Alma Faye Woodby of LaFollette. Son Kenneth Roger Woodby of LaFollette. Daughter: Debbie and husband Mark Goins. of Jacksboro. Grandsons: Chris Woodby, Andrew Goins and Alex Goins. Sister: Nancy Jane Keith of Knoxville.

Walter John Lipka, Jr. age 74 of LaFollette passed away Friday April 20, 2012 at Cumberland Village. He attended Elm Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Lipka was a very loving husband, father and grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved gardening, showing and breeding Lhasa Apso dogs and was an avid stock car and Tennessee Titans fan. He served with the United States Air Force. Mr. Lipka was a very dedicated active Campbell County Honor Guard member.

Mr. Thomas W. Cragg age 90 of Speedwell, TN died April 21, 2012, at Cumberland Village Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Cleveland, OH and moved here in 1975 from Corry, PA. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Mr. Cragg was President and Owner of the Corry Loan Co. and the Corry Consumer Discount Co., a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard, Past Exalted Ruler of Corry Elks Lodge #769, Past Commander Corry VFW Post #264, Past President Corry HS Alumni Assoc., Past Treasurer of Corry Municipal Authority, Past President of Erie County Lenders Exchange, Past Director of Corry County Club and Dunedin Country Club, Past Chairman of President’s Council RSA Condo Complex, Dunedin, Member of Dunedin Country Club, and for many years he was also a recruiter of student-athletes for the U.S. Naval Academy.
Survivors: Daughter, Colleen A. Maguire and Jonathan Puckett, of London, England; son, Thomas H. Cragg and wife Gloria, of Coral Springs, FL; daughter, Fraun L. Martin and husband Rick, of Deer Isle, ME; son, David G. Cragg and wife Graziella, of Speedwell, TN; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
There will be a mass dedicated to Mr. Cragg at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Sunday, May 6, 2012, at 9:30 A.M. Charles Arthur Randolph
Charles Arthur Randolph, age 69, of Briceville, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at his residence. Charles was born in Briceville on September 7, 1942, to the late Waymon and Maggie Bennett Randolph. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and helping others. He made a profession of faith at an early age and was of the Baptist Faith. Charles was a member ofLaurel Grove Baptist Church. He mowed for Indian Bluff Baptist Church, which they appreciated dearly. Charles will be sadly missed by all. In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his brother, Willie Randolph, and his two sisters, Reba Brown, and Louise Lowe.

Mrs. Myrtle M. Smith Katz age 64 of KetteringOH, formerly of LaFollette, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012.  She was a 1965 graduate of LaFollette High School and a member of The Church of God of Prophecy in DaytonOH.  Preceded in death by husband, Gary Katz; parents, Frank and Mary Powers Smith, brother, Kenneth G. Smith; brother-in-law, Larry Drake.

Luster Ray Jones, age 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at his home in Clinton. He was a beloved husband and father. Luster was a firm believer in Christ and is at home in heaven. He loved people and loved to talk. Luster was one of those people where if you didn’t know him, you wished you did. He was a Veteran and a Mason. Luster is preceded in death by his father and mother, Conda and Katherine Jones, his brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Hester Jones, brother, and sister-in-law Harve Golden and Alma Golden, and his niece, Kathy Dugger.
