Bro. Roy Vincent
Rev. Roy Everett Vincent, 88, of SomersetKentucky, formerly of LaFolletteTN, passed from this earth into the loving arms of his Savior on Thursday, June 28th, atSummerwoods Rehab Center.
He was born June 15, 1924 in Lake CityTN to the Late Dan and Addie Lee Vincent. He was a Southern Baptist Minister and farmer. He also served in the United States Army and was an Honorable Kentucky Colonel.
Roy was saved at an early age and active in the church. He was in his early thirties when he accepted the call from his Heavenly Father to preach the gospel. He attended Clear Creek Springs Baptist School of Ministry for two years and was ordained to preach in Ohio. He ministered in Ohio before returning ot LaFollette,TN where he was interim pastor at Demory Baptist and East LaFollette BaptistChurchesRoy then ministered at Newcomb Baptist Church in NewcombTN. He was a pastor Rock Lick Baptist, McKinney Baptist, and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Churches inSomersetKentucky. At the time of his passing, he was a faithful active member ofFirst Baptist Church in SomersetKentucky.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Pauline Claiborne Vincent, of 39 years; sons, Jerry Vincent and wife Gequitta, and Danny Vincent, all of LaFollette, TN; Roger Claiborne and wife LeAnn of Georgetown, KY, and Ronnie Claiborne and wife Cathy of Nancy, KY; Grandchildren Denise Ivy, Jackie Gibson and Husband Bryan, of LaFollette, TN, Brook and Ronnie II Claiborne and Matthew Gibson and wife Kristina, all of Nancy, KY, Logan and Hollis Charles and Shauna Claiborne, all of Georgetown, KY; great grandchildren Kelsey Ivy and Sawyer Gipson of LaFollette, TN, and Kylee Gibson of Nancy, KY.
He is also survived by a brother Charles Vincent and wife Carolyn of LaFollette, TN, and a sister Ruth Vincent martin and husband Joe W Martin of JacksboroTN, Pat Vincent of Elk ParkNC and several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his loving parents, his first wife Ruby Hill Vincent, fourth brothers Norvil, Ray J. Will, and Glenn Vincent, three sisters Grace Vincent, Jewell Vincent Hill, and Camilla Vincent Wallace, and several brother/sister in laws, nieces and nephews.
The Family will be receiving friends at Cross - Smith Funeral Home of LaFollette ,TN on Sunday, July 1st, from 6-8 P.M. and Southern Oaks Funeral Home, Somerset, Kentucky on Monday, July 2nd, after 5 P.M. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 3, at 10 A.M. at Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. C.E. Jacobs and Dr. French Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Mill Springs NationalCemetery.

LeVenie Pierce, age 99, was born on May 13, 1913 and went to her Heavenly Home on June 28, 2012 at Methodist Center in Oak Ridge. She was the last living charter member of Bradens Chapel Church.

Preceded in death husband: Aaron Pierce. Two stepsons: Carl and Nolan Pierce Parents: Fred and Barbara Cain Braden. Brothers: Brice, Oba, Arvil and Milton Braden Sisters: Betty and Tilda Braden. Great grandson :Landon Reynolds.

Survived by draughter: Betty Monday of Speedwell. Six grandchildren who were the joy of her life, Ronald Pierce, Robby, Kenneth and Calvin Monday, Debbie Jessie and Diana Reynolds Five nieces and nephews whom she helped raise, Evelyn Lay, Ruth Lay, Mildred Tressler, Leroy and Butch Braden. Great grandchildren: Kendra and Brent Shepherd, Austin Reynolds, Leslie, April, Josh and Matthew Jessie, Brittany and Chelsea Monday. Brother: Mack Braden of Maynardville. Sister: Jane Edwards. Andrew Jack Dossett, II, 41, of DawsonvilleGA, formerly of Jacksboro passed away Tuesday June 26, 2012 at Embracing Hospice following an extended illness.
Born June 16, 1971 in LaFolletteTennessee, he and his family moved to Alpharetta,GA in 1984. He graduated from Milton High School and in 1994 he established Andrew J. Dossett Grading, a company used by many local builders for residential grading and excavating. Andrew loved most any outdoor activity and was well known for his trophy fish, wonderful venison, and great times spent boating on area lakes. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Hugh Dossett.
Surviving are his sons, Zachary Thomas Dossett, Cumming, Sean Joseph Feagins, Cumming, and their mother, Janie Dossett; parents, Jack and Linda Dossett, Dawsonville; sister and brother in law, Marsha and Mark Stuckey, Ball Ground; nephew, Nicholas Stuckey; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Arthorine McDaniel Wilson, age 89, of Fratersville Community, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the LaFollette Medical Center. Arthorine was born on June 6, 1923 in Anderson County to the late James Clyde and Dinah Pratt McDaniel. Arthorine was a devoted Christian and a lifelong member of Fratersville Missionary Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for forty plus years. She was an avid Bible reader who enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, writing short stories, and her flowers and garden. In addition to her parents, Arthorine is preceded in death by her husband Dewey Wilson, son, Steve Wilson, granddaughter Leeann Tackett, great-granddaughter Meghan Dunn, brother Morris Fraley, and her sister Wilma Miles.

Richard Lowell Bumgardner, age 63, of Powell, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Tennova North Knoxville Medical Center in Powell. Richard was born in Anderson County on October 26, 1948, to James and Gladys Bumgardner Taylor. He was an Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. Richard enjoyed board games with his granddaughter, who was the light of his life.
