Tommy Caldwell, age 88, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2011. He was a member of Ivey Dell Church of God. Mr. Caldwell was a very loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who enjoyed going to church when he was able and spending time in the mountains hunting and fishing. He served in the Army during WWII.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Benjamin & Birdie Saylor Caldwell, wife Louise Carroll Caldwell, infant sons William and Benjamin Caldwell, daughter Dolly Cooley and husband Ben, son-in-law James Green, brothers Ledford Caldwell, Lloyd Caldwell, and Elihue Caldwell, half-brother Arthur Caldwell, sister Josie Johnson, and 2 grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons Lonnie Caldwell and Andrew Caldwell both of Caryville, daughter Dorothy Green of Jacksboro, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev Leon Fritts officiating. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the Carroll Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
