Michael Joe Bray, age 40, of Caryville passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011.  Visitation is Tuesday, December 27, 2011, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Martin-Wilson Chapel.  Funeral is Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. with burial Wednesday, December 27, 2011, at Noon at Oak Grove Cemetery.  A complete obituary for Michael Joe Bray will be posted on Tuesday.  Arrangements by Martin-Wilson Funeral Home. 



Lathern Brantley Lathern Brantley, age 92 of LaFollette, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011. He was a member of Mossy Springs Baptist Church in Union Co., but last attended Long Hollow Baptist Church.  Served in WWII from July 1942 until December 1945 and was a member of DAV and TDF.  Preceded in death by parents Annias and Nancy Lynch Brantley; half sisters and brothers, Stella McNeeley and Luvirney Smith, Ed Petree, Austin, Samuel, and Jehue Brantley.Survivors:
Wife of 70 years:  Monnie Wilson Brantley
Daughters:  Diana (Arley Bill) Archer
                      Wanda (Ted) Johnson
                     Linda Brantley, all of LaFollette

Granddaughters:  Amy (William) Baird, Angie Archer, LaFollette  and Michelle Johnson
Special great-grandchildren: Nathanael and Natalie Baird

Mrs. Marie Suttles Meredith age 89 of Douglasville, GA, formerly of LaFollette passed away Friday, December 23, 2011. She was a Charter Member of the LaFollette First Independent Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, James Raymond Meredith, parents, Rev. Foster and Mossie Moore Suttles.
Survivors: Son, James Raymond Meredith, Jr. and Wife Lula Bell, of Douglasville, GA; Granddaughter, Tina Meredith of Douglasville, GA; Grandson, Jeff Meredith of Douglasville, GA; Six Great-grandchildren, Two Great-great-grandchildren, Several special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Tuesday 8 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Moore officiating. Family and friends will meet Wednesday 10 A.M. at Campbell Memorial Gardens for graveside services and interment. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M.
