Nola McDeerman Roach, age 87, of Jacksboro passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011.  Preceded in death by husbands, Millard McDeerman & Lee “Bud” Roach; parents, Andy & Rose Ellison; brothers, Duard, Condy, & Clifford Ellison.  Member of Fordtown Baptist Church and a WWII veteran.

SEALS, MR. JACK CLARENCE - age 64 of Tazewell, Tennessee was born September 4, 1947. He went be with his Heavenly Father December 20, 2011, at home with his loving and devoted wife, Wilma, and daughters, Shelia and Karen. Jack was saved and baptized in January, 1954, at Seals Branch Missionary Baptist Church. He was ordained as a deacon in June 1972. Jack also served as song leader, church clerk, treasurer and Sunday school teacher. In May 1981, he became a member at Seal Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where he continued to serve as song leader, deacon and Sunday school teacher. In October 2009, Jack became a member of Midway Missionary Baptist Church and remained a faithful and devoted member until his death. On September 29, 1967, Jack was united in marriage to his childhood sweetheart, Wilma Smith. Together, they owned and operated Jack Seals Grocery on State Hwy. 33 for 31 years. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. His love for his family and his country was secondary only to his love of the Lord. Jack was a local farmer who was instrumental in starting the Volunteer Fire Department and Neighborhood Watch in the Howard's Quarter Community. Jack's loved ones who preceded him in death were his parents, Deacon Tom and Vadar (Barnard) Seals; brother Tom Seals, Jr.; sisters Bennie Mae and Judy Kay Seals; nephew Allen Reece; father and mother-in-law, Rev. Robert and Bonnie (Hipsher) Smith. He leaves behind survivors: his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Wilma of Tazewell; daughter: Shelia and husband Rev. Kenny Trent of New Tazewell, TN; son: Rev. David and wife Jennifer Seals of Jacksboro, TN; daughter: Karen and Chad Stansberry of Tazewell, TN; his precious grandchildren: Eli Christian Seals and Nathan Jeremiah Seals of Jacksboro, TN, Caroline Faith Trent and Clarissa Hope Trent of New Tazewell, TN; sister: Joan and husband Clifford Reece of Tazewell, TN; brothers: Rev. Ralph Seals of Tazewell, TN, Larry Seals and wife Dorothy, Rev. Jim Seals and wife Debra of Sneedville, TN, Rev. Jerry Seals and wife Loretta of Thorn Hill, TN. He also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, who he loved and encouraged to stay in Church and serve God. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 9:00 P.M. Thursday December 22, 2011 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell, TN. Funeral service 2:00 P.M. Friday December 23, 2011 at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Fairview Cemetery. Ministers: Rev.
