Mr. Willard F. Ridenour age 68 of LaFollette passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012, at LaFollette Medical Center. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army. Preceded in death by parents, Hubert and Lucille Gibson Ridenour, brother, Ferlin Ridenour.
Survivors: Daughter, Regina Ridenour of LaFollette; son, Samuel Ridenour and wife, Jessica of Pioneer; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters, Melissa Smiddy and husband, Willie, Jr., Linda Wilson and husband, Virgil, Donna and husband, Charles, and Sheila Ridenour. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
It was Mr. Ridenour’s request to be cremated and with no services or visitation. However, anyone wishing to sign the Memorial Register Book may do so on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home. Mildred Helen Ellison, age 92, of New Boston, MI passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012. She was a very loving Christian mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family & friends. She was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother Lewis & Rosa Broyles, husband Duard William Ellison, sons Michael & Douglas Ellison, brother Ernest Broyles, and sisters Mable White, Gladys Weaver, Ruth Weaver, Esther Powell, & Gertrude Berry.
She is survived by her son Danny Ellison and wife Dorothy of Jacksboro, daughters Carol Overbey & husband Lewis of Knoxville and DeAnna Dagley & husband Ronnie of Michigan, daughters-in-law Debra Ellison and Sue Ellison, sister Wilma Salyers of Maynardville, 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev Ronnie Arnold and Rev Randall Heatherly officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2012 in the Mt. Paran Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
