James Larry Garner, age 58, of Jellico passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2012. He was a member of First Baptist of Elk Valley. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle that enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was always concerned about taking care of his family.
He is preceded in death by his father James Henry Garner, mother Ollie Lorene Garner, brother Jerry Wayne Garner, brother-in-laws Ed Siebers and Chuck Meredith.
He is survived by his wife Pamela Garner of LaFollette, sons James Dustin Garner of Jellico, Jason Garner of LaFollette, and Eric Garner & wife Lauren of LaFollette, step-son Matt Welden and wife Sierra of Knoxville, goddaughter Amber Moore, sisters Shirley Baird and husband Albert of Elk Valley, Sue Siebers of Elk Valley, Cathy Meredith of LaFollette, and Carolyn Hughes of Jellico, and grandchildren Isaiah, Zackery, Gavin, and Caden Garner.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev James Adkins and Rev Alvis Richardson officiating. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  Interment will be on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the ValleyView Cemetery.

Bessie Ellen Hatfield
Bessie Ellen Hatfield, age 81, of LaFollette has went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ her Savior on Tuesday, February 21, 2012. She was a member of High Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed puzzles, sweets, old TV shows, especially gospel, listening to gospel music, and she loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents Sandford and Mae Harris Bailey, husband Clifford Lee Hatfield, baby son, daughter Mary Grace Hatfield, and several brothers & sisters.
She is survived by her sons Artie Lee Hatfield and wife Penny of Lenoir City and Dewayne Hatfield and wife Lisa of LaFollette, daughter Barbara Hurst and husband Eric of LaFollette, 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces & nephews and a host of other relatives & friends.
Family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Martin Wilson Chapel. Funeral service will be on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Peabody Cemetery.

Laura Maude Cox Cobb
Laura Maude Cox Cobb, age 59 of Lake City, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was born October 17, 1952 in Anderson CountyTN to the late Roy and Louise Hendren Cox. Laura was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Clinton. She loved crossword puzzles, and doing things for her babies at church. In addition to her parents, Laura is preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Retta Cobb.

Bailey Leon Burris
Bailey Leon Burris, age 65 of Lake City, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012 at his daughter’s residence in Jefferson City. He was born April 4, 1946 in Anderson CountyTN to the late Wayne and Myrtle Massengill Burris. Bailey was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Lake City. Bailey enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents, Bailey is preceded in death by his daughter Tammy Burris.

Delois Phillips
Delois Phillips, age 70 of Knoxville, formerly of New River, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012 at her residence. She was born August 13, 1941 in Anderson CountyTN to the late Rexie and Flossie Phillips Bunch. Delois enjoyed playing the Wii, and quilting. In addition to her parents, Delois is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Phillips, son Wayne Phillips, and sister Margie West.
