Ted Hollingsworth
Ted Wayne Hollingsworth, age 66, found his peace and healing in the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on April 6, 2012. Ted was a free spirit who loved people and enjoyed life. He was a loving brother and a friend to all who knew him. Ted will be remembered for his quick wit, his charm and intelligence, his giving spirit and his ability to make people laugh. He was affectionately called “U.T.” for his role of “Uncle” in the family and his love for the University of Tennessee, his Alma Mater. He was a popular and well-loved member of the Zeta Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha at the University of Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by her parents, James David (Bo) and Marjorie Rose Hollingsworth of Jacksboro, TN, and nephews Andy Hollingsworth of Nashville, TN, Michael Schroeder and Jerry Schroeder (Little Jerry) of Pensacola, FL.
He is survived by his brother David Hollingsworth (Joanie) of Old Hickory, TN, sisters Gail Schroeder (Papa Don) of Pensacola, FL, Sheree Carroll (Danny) of Knoxville, TN, nieces Melanie Saccomanno (Peter) of Pensacola, FL, Jennifer Barham (Chip) of Murfreesboro, TN, nephews Jim Hollingsworth (Jenifer) of Nashville, TN, Ben Hollingsworth (Kelly) of Knoxville, TN, Scott Schroeder (Jamie) of Pensacola, FL, Jordan Carroll (USAF) of Elsworth, SD, and Dalton Carroll of Pensacola, FL. He is also survived by numerous cousins, great nieces and great nephews, and countless friends.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 12 noon in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Reverend Charles Shultz officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 am – 12 noon. Interment will follow in Campbell County Memorial Gardens.
