Judith D. Adkins Chapman
Southampton-Judith D. (Adkins) Chapman, 66, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012. She was born in Tennessee on July 30, 1946 a daughter of the late Jonah and Dolly (Sellers) Adkins, but lived most of her life in MA. Judith retired from K & M Electronics/ITT Industrial after 24 years of dedicated service. Judith, affectionately called “Judy”, enjoyed listening to Led Zeppelin and spending time with her two sons, family, and friends. Judy will be deeply missed by two sons, Tony and Troy Chapman of Southampton; three brothers, J.D. Adkins of GA; Carnedius Adkins of Holyoke; Donald Adkins of South Hadley; four sisters, Geneva Lyke of Holyoke; Marie Ward of TN; Nancy Marlow of TN; Brenda Adkins of Chicopee as well as many friends and extended family members. She was also predeceased by a sister, Mae Bourf. Visiting hours for Judy will be on Friday, August 10, 2012 from 4-6 PM with a 5:30 PM funeral home service at Messier Funeral Home, 1944 Northampton St. , Holyoke , MA 01040 . In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations in Judy’s name can be made to the American Cancer Society, Centralized Memorial Processing, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.

Jerry Lynn Chavis
Jerry Lynn Chavis, age 59, of LaFollette passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at UT Medical Center. He was a member of Rock Creek Community Church of God. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on old cars, and loved spending time with his grandkids and family whom he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his mother Wilma Carroll and brother Roy Yancey.
He is survived by his wife Vickie Chavis of LaFollette, sons Michael Chavis and fiancé Melanie and Roger Chavis both of LaFollette, daughter Patricia Chavis of LaFollette, brothers Bobby Chavis of Jacksboro, Bill Adkins of LaFollette, Maynard Adkins of Kentucky, Scotty Adkins of LaFollette, and Jimmy Chavis of Knoxville, sisters Sue Richardson of Kentucky, Jackie Bryant of Knoxville, and Gertrude Williams of Knoxville, and grandchildren Michael Dawson Chavis, Roger Paul Chavis Jr., Dameon Christopher Chavis, Victoria Jennett Chavis, Isabella Ellen Chavis, and Nevaeh Goodman.
Funeral service will be at 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 9th, 2012 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev Audie Murray officiating. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Interment will be at 10:00 am on Friday, August 10th, 2012 in the Chadwell Cemetery .

Betty Lou Jones, age 81, of LaFollette passed away at her home on Friday, August 3, 2012. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, UT sports, reading, cooking, and spending time with her grandkids, great-grandkids, her family, and her cat that she loved very much.
Preceded in death by her parents Hugh & Oma Perkey, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Survived by her sons Bill Haggard and wife Ruth of Powell and Mike Haggard and wife Mary of McHenry, IL, daughter Margaret Ann Poore and husband Gary of New Tazewell, sisters Pasty Burcham of LaFollette and Charlene Melton of Kentucky , special nieces Jimmy Ann and Tammy, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral service will be at 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 5th, 2012 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev Alvis Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6-8 pm. Interment will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 6th, 2012 at Campbell Memorial Gardens .

Roscoe Randolph, age 81, of Caryville passed away August 2, 2012 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was born on December 4, 1930 in Jacksboro, TN. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church and retired from the city of Dayton, OH after 30 years. He loved serving the Lord, hunting, fishing, training dogs, and playing music.
Preceded in death by his father James Randolph and step-mother Rosie Madison Randolph, mother Mattie Randolph Turner, brothers Elbert, Edgar, J.T., & Jimmy, sisters Edith & Wanda, and infant daughter Carol Ann Randolph.
Survived by his wife of 61 years Zora Lou Phillips Randolph, sons Robert Steve and wife Loanna of Springfield, OH, Michael and wife Tonya of Jacksboro, and Roscoe Timothy of Caryville, brother Charley and wife Melba of Cleveland, TN, sisters Pearl Smith and husband Johnnie of Jacksboro and Margie White of LaFollette, grandchildren Jason, Karl, Emily, Michael, & Ashley, several great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be at 8:00 pm on Monday, August 6th, 2012 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev Johnny Dabney officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6-8 pm. Interment will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 7th, 2012 in the Indian Creek Cemetery.
