Mr. John Timothy “Jason” Anipen age 62 passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. He was born June 8, 1950. Jason was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in January 2012. He bore a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and being a member of the church, even when very ill and in the hospital, to nurses, doctors, or whoever he talked to. He was the son of John Thomas and Elaine Anipen of Ypsilanti, MI who preceded him in death. Jason was retired from General Motors Corp.
He leaves his wife Dorothy (Dottie) Wilson Anipen of LaFollette, who is the daughter of Nina Riggs Wilson, who preceded Jason in death, and Father, Kenneth Wilson, and Step-mother, Ina Wilson, of Maynardville, TN. Jason leaves three children: Daughters, Anna Lomax and husband Ricky Lee, of Tecumseh, MI, and Jamie Danielle Nicholas and husband Kerwin, of Long Island, NY; Son, John Kenneth Anipen and wife Jessica, of Canton, MI. He leaves Nine Grandchildren, Four Sisters; Peggy Campbell and husband Ron, of Northville, MI, Cheryl Anipen of Ypsilanti, MI, Pat Welcher and husband Bill, of Ypsilanti, MI, and Barbara Schoen of El Paso, TX, and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Walters Funeral Home. Mr. Anipen will be moved to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 236 Wildwood Circle, LaFollette, TN 37766 on Thursday where the family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 P.M. with services to follow at 7 P.M. with President Trey Smith officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday at 12 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Bakers Forge Cemetery for graveside services and interment.
