Audren “Beanpole” Tackett, age 81, of LaFollette passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012.  Member of Beech Fork Baptist.  Retired from Ford Motor after 26 years.  Preceded in death by wife, Lillie Bernice; son, Lonnie;  3 grandchildren, Lonnie Dale, Rebecca Marie & Edward; parents, Robert & Millie Tackett; brothers, Arlie, Luther, & Henry; sisters, Mary & Verdie.

Survivors:

Daughter:  Lorene & husband John Snyder

Sons:  Donald & wife Charlotte Tackett

           James & wife Lisa Tackett, all of Jacksboro

10 Grandchildren       22 Great-grandchildren      3 Great-great-grandchildren

Sister:    Ann Ward, Dayton, Tn

Funeral Services 8 p.m. Saturday Cross-Smith Chapel

Rev. Lee Phillips & Rev. Dale Baker officiating

Interment 11 a.m. Sunday Campbell Memorial Gardens

Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Cross-Smith Funeral Home

Patricia Gail Hicks Jeffers, age 50, of LaFollette passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. She was a member at Shultz Hollow Baptist Church. She was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her daughters. She will be missed by many.

Preceded in death by her dad Glenn Hicks, mother Annie Silcox, and brothers Ray Hicks of Cleveland Onvia Ward of LaFollette.

Survived by her husband Ronnie Jeffers of LaFollette, daughters Annie Wright of Knoxville, Amanda Akerberg & husband Mike of Wisconsin, Jessica Taylor & husband Jason of Caryville, Debbie McGuire & husband Brandon of Kingsport, 13 grandchildren that she loved dearly, one that she held close to her heart, Haylee McGuire, brothers Dee Hicks of Cleveland and Roscoe Hicks of Jellico, and special aunt Easter Miller & husband Ralph of Jacksboro.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm in the Martin Wilson Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev Charlie Max Marlow officiating. Interment will follow the service at the New Vasper Cemetery.

Josephine Walp, age 89, of Pioneer passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012. She was a member of Elk Valley Church of God. She was saved at 12 years old & praised the Lord everywhere she went. She loved to cook & loved her family very much. 

Preceded in death by her parents Ben & Mary (Pike) Overbay, husband Clarence Walp, son Roger Walp, daughter Joyce Baird, brother Buddy Overbay, and sister Bertie Allen. 

Survived by her son Benny Walp & wife Sabrina of Elk Valley, brothers Bobbie Overbay & wife Carolyn of LaFollette and Fred Overbay & wife Barbara of Caryville, sisters Edna Bunch of Jacksboro, Billie Nance of Jacksboro, Ella Wells of LaFollette, Sue Allen of Jacksboro, and Judy Bullock of Jacksboro, grandchildren Dewayne, Delbert, Roger Dell, Danny, Benny, Tim, Elisha, and Roxanne, and several great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the Martin Wilson Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Elk Valley Church of God with Rev David Napier, Rev Robbie Perkins, and Rev Ulice Cox officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Elk Fork Cemetery.
