Sharon Marie Daniels, age 50, of Idaho passed away Friday, August 24, 2012 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center , Toledo . Member of Victory Temple Church of God. MRS. HELEN MARGARET CARR SAULSBERRY, age 93, of White Rock, SC, formerly of LaFollette, TN passed away on September 30, at the Heritage at Lowman Lutheran Homes of South Carolina where she had resided since June, 2011. She had been a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of LaFollette since 1933, where she had served in many capacities including teaching Sunday school from l951-l996, first woman trustee, WMU director, and choir member. She loved her church. She also held leadership positions in earlier years in community organizations including the Democratic Women’s Club, the LaFollette Garden Club, and the West LaFollette PTO. She was a 1939 graduate of the University of Tennessee and a loyal sports fan of UT. She became a member of the Order of the Shield of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority in 1986 as a 50 year member and was recognized in 2011 as a 75 year member. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred W. Saulsberry in 1965, her parents Edwin and Mabel Wynn Carr, brother Edwin A. (Sonny) Carr, granddaughter Laura Lane Charton, and great-grandson Luke Charton.
Survivors are loving daughter Sylvia Charton and husband Pete of Irmo, SC; much loved grandchildren, Ross Charton of Mountain Top, PA , Katie Manning and husband Eric of Columbia, SC, and Kristi Turner and husband Josh of Knoxville, TN; great-grandchildren Sydney and Natalie Charton and William and Henry Manning; loving sister-in-law Mary Pat Carr; nieces Mary Dodge, Sarah Kirkpatrick, and Nancy Worthen; nephew Alvis Carr.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at LaFollette First Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Dr. Robert Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in LaFollette. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be contributed to LaFollette First Baptist Church, 255 West Central Ave., LaFollette, TN 37766. Barbara Marie Madison, age 71, of Caryville passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at home. She was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother who loved her family very much. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and working as a CNA.
Preceded in death by her father Curtis Whisman, mother Gladys (Branson) Marcum, and husband Dewey Madison, Sr.
Survived by her son Dewey Madison Jr. & wife Jennifer, daughter Teresa Madison, brother Joseph M. Marcum of Ravenna, KY, and grandchildren Cody & Cheyenne Madison.
Graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 5:00 pm at Queener Cemetery.
