Reverend Darryl Ross

William Darryl Ross, age 73, of Knoxville, formerly of LaFollette passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012.   A graduate of Asbury College & Seminary with a Masters in Divinity; he was a certified pastoral counselor; a graduate of UT Chattanooga with a Masters in Education and a US Airforce veteran with four years of service.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather & friend.  He was current pastor at St. Paul United Methodist Church East in Knoxville.  He served 48 years as a United Methodist Minister, having served in LaFollette, Johnson City, Greenville, Cleveland and Chattanooga, and Knoxville.

Preceded in death by parents, Ardent & Bernice Ross; father-in-law, Chester Bruce; brothers-in-law, Don & Robert Bruce.

Survivors:

Wife:  Helen Jean Bruce Ross

Daughter:  Lesley Ross Ratcliffe & husband Sebe

Grandchildren:  Sara Beth & Garrett Ratcliffe, all of Lawrenceville, Ga.

Brother & wife:  Ronald & Annette Ross, Covington, Ky

Nephews & Niece:  Wade Ross, Wesley Bruce & Tina Bruce

Mother-in-law:  Martha Bruce, LaFollette

Sister-in-law:  Carolyn Bruce Geddes & husband Rollin, Knoxville

Thelma Heil

Thelma Heil, 87, of Middleton, Idaho, passed away on Monday, November 19th. She was born on October 26, 1925 in LaFollette, Tennessee to Laura and Dave Davis. After graduating from high school in LaFollette, Thelma attended Belmont College in Nashville, TN, where she received her B.A. in Art. During World War II, she worked at the Oak Ridge Laboratory.

Thelma is survived by two brothers: R.L. and Charles Davis and sisters-in-law, Margaret Davis, June Davis and Becky Short.

A memorial service will be held at the Cottages of Middleton, 706 W Main Street, Middleton, ID, on Friday, November 23rd.  Arrangements by Accent Funeral Home of Meridian, ID.  This obituary notice courtesy of Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette.

Elvin Samuel Bailey

Elvin Samuel Bailey, age 91, of LaFollette passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012.

He was a Christian & US Army WWII veteran.  Preceded in death by wife, Ila Mae Bailey; son, Stanley Bailey.

Aud Pike

Aud Pike, age 69, of Caryville passed from this life on November 21, 2012 at his home.  Member of Central Baptist Church in Caryville.  He was a very kind and loving man with many friends who always came by to visit and share a cup of coffee with him. 

Preceded in death by parents, Charlie & Ida Pike; brothers, Roy & Gene Pike; sisters, Judy Douglas & Geraldine Hale; brother-in-laws, Jerry Montgomery & Arzo Hale.
