Margaret Ann Matek, age 76, of Lake City passed away at the North Knoxville Medical Center on December 15, 2012. Margaret was born on December 10, 1936 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late James Anthony and Susan Fink. She loved to crochet and loved to cook for her family. In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Matek, and her sons Mark Roe and Stephen Roe. Margaret is going Home to be with her Lord and Savior.

Visitation: 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2012 at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Justin Phillips and her grandchildren officiating.

Margaret’s interment will take place on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 following the funeral service at the Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton, TN.

Mrs. Phyllis Sweat Weaver age 59 of LaFollette passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville.  She was a member of Glade Springs Baptist Church.  Preceded in death by parents, Leon Sweat and Juanita Ivey Sweat.

Survivors: Daughter, Misty Byrd of LaFollette; Two Grandchildren, Justin Byrd and Courtney Byrd, both of LaFollette; One Great-grandchild, Kylie Perkins of LaFollette; Sisters, Janet Miller of LaFollette; Brothers, Maynard Sweat and wife Rebecca, Billy Sweat, James “Red” Sweat, all of LaFollette, and James Anthony Sweat of South Carolina.  Several cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Sunday 8 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pat Ayers officiating.  Family and friends will meet Monday, 10:30 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Bakers Forge Cemetery for graveside services and interment.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Mary Day, age 85, of Florence, Ky, formerly of Jacksboro passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Preceded in death by daughter, Phyllis Day Fields; grandson, David Fields.

Jewell Elaine Walden, age 41, of LaFollette passed away at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge on December 14, 2012. She was born in Campbell County on May 5, 1971 to George and Effie Murray Wilson.  Jewell is preceded in death by her mother Effie Wilson, and her husband Jimmy Walden.
