Mrs. Lissie A. Reynolds, age 89 of LaFollette passed away Friday, January 25, 2013, at LaFollette Health & Rehab Center.  She attended the LaFollette Church of God.  Preceded in death by husband, James Reynolds, parents, William Harrison Ayers and Nancy Bell Clepper Ayers, brother, Thomas Lee Ayers, sister, Annie Ayers Reynolds, and Janie Ayers Tidwell.

Survivors:  Brother, Woodrow Ayers of Georgia and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Monday 7 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Delmus Bruce officiating.  Family and friends will meet Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for graveside services and interment.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Marilyn Doris Emmons Prim 

Mrs. Marilyn Doris Emmons Prim, 72, retired secretary for the State of Tennessee Fire Marshall’s office, died Monday at her residence in Lynnville.   A graveside service for Mrs. Prim will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Campbell Memorial Gardens in LaFollette.   The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4 – 8:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia and Friday from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Martin-Wilson Funeral Home in LaFollette.

Charlene Hawkins

Charlene Hawkins, age 78 of Lake City passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at her residence. She was born on April 26, 1934 in Anderson County, TN to the late Charlie and Lillie Foust McCoy .She was a member of Clinch River Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Charlene is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Ray Hawkins, her sister, Ethel Blanc, her brothers: Leonard McCoy, Joe McCoy, and Tom Lee McCoy, her half sister, Retha Phillips, and her half brother, Glen Foust.

Interment: Friends and Family will meet at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Hatmaker Funeral Home to go in procession to the Clinch River Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. interment.

Mary Lillian Armes Smithers

Mary Lillian Armes Smithers of LaFollette passed away Saturday January 26, 2013. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jacksboro. Mary is preceded in death by parents, Virgil and Lucinda Armes and sister, Sally White.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John Edward Smithers.  Sons and daughters in law, Mike and Marie Smithers and Jeff and Lois Ann Smithers.  Grandchildren, Amy Smithers Blankenship (Brent), Emily Smithers Raulston (Andrew), Molly Smithers Starbird (Steven), Jake Smithers and Abbey Smithers. Great grand daughter, Victoria Blankenship. Siblings,  Rhoda Dagley, Lydia Hatmaker, Loretta Woods, Virgil Armes, Deana Parks, and Freddy Armes.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 with funeral service to follow at First Baptist Church Jacksboro with Pastor Bill Morris officiating.  Those planning to attend the burial will meet Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens.

Ruby Hazel Childress passed away, January 25, 2012 at Morrison Woods in Muncie, IN at the age of 97. Ruby is formally from LaFollette, TN., where she lived until Nov. 2007 and moved to Muncie, IN to live with her daughter.

Ruby was born in Claiborne County, TN. May 25, 1915, the daughter of Ed and Hettie Yoakum. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold G. Childress, who passed away in March, 1966. Her parents, Ed and Hettie Yoakum, three sisters and two brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Alice M. Littell, husband David, Muncie, IN. Granddaughters, Lee Ann Brown, husband Brad, Pendleton, IN., Lisa Fullman, Muncie, IN. great granddaughters, Devan Crabtree, Brett Fullman, and step granddaughter, Kelsey Brown, great great granddaughter, Lyllian Kay Crabtree, and Kenzie Brown. Sister in law, Imojean Childress Morris of Dandridge, TN. Several nieces and nephews, a special niece, Helen Ann McCarron in Sacramento, CA.

Ruby retired from Imperial Reading Mfg. Company in LaFollette, TN after 41 years of employment along with help maintaining the family farm. She was a faithful member of the Well Spring Methodist Church, Methodist Women, and sang in the church choir. She belonged to the TN Association for Family and Community Education, (UT/Extension) and one year was voted Woman of the Year. She served a three year term as 1st Alternate on the Community Committee of the USDA Farm Service Agency of Campbell County. She served many years as a Salvation Army volunteer, and nursing facility visitation.

Ruby was dearly loved and a joy to all who knew her. She was also known for her famous peanut butter roll candy, peanut butter fudge, and old fashion stack cakes. She loved raising a garden and summer canning.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 1, 10:00 AM at Walters Funeral Home in LaFollette followed by the Service at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at the Yoakum Cemetery in Claiborne County, TN. Willie J. Wilson, age 86, Caryville of passed away Saturday January 26, 2013. She was of the Baptist faith. 

Preceded in death by Parents: McKinley and Laura Eldridge Wilson. 

Survived by Brother: Carl Wilson of Claxton. Sisters: Doris F. Lawless of Claxton, Mitza Webb of Caryville and Donna Leach and husband Robert of Florence, KY 

Graveside service and interment will be 2 PM Monday January 28, 2013 in Oak Grove cemetery.

Condy Seiber, age 86, of LaFollette passed away Saturday January 26, 2013. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother that loved spending time with his family and taking care of his animals, he loved being outdoors and farming. 

Preceded in death by Wife: Margaret Farmer Seiber. Son: David Seiber. Daughter: Kathleen Seiber. Parents: George and Rachel McKamey Seiber. Brothers: Clarence and Marshall Seiber. Sisters: Ethel Phillips, Naomi Byrge and Rodie Seiber. 

Survived by Daughter: Connie Sue Jobe of Jacksboro. Brother: Clois Seiber and wife Mary of Claxton. Sisters: Erma Goddard and husband Glen of Clinton and Lou Rosie Jones of Claxton. 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday January 29, 2013 in Martin Wilson Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 8PM with Rev. Jimmy Rutherford officiating. Interment will be 11 AM Wednesday January 30, 2013 in Beech Fork Cemetery.

William “Moe” Moses, age 74, from Caryville passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013. He was a very loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, he loved painting murals and playing the guitar. 

Prededed in death by Parents: Norman & Emma Bowling Moses. Brother: Woodrow Moses. Sister: June Buhel. Brother-in-law: James Buhel. 

Survived by Sons: Joseph Moses & wife Karen and Mike Moses all of KY and Randy Moses of Iowa. Sister: Virginia Blackwell of Caryville. Grandchildren: Ashley & Creed Keisling, Joseph & Jerrica Moses, Trinity & Josh Powers, Charity Moses & Dillon Moses. 4 great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be 11-1 PM Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Pleasant View United Methodist Church. Funeral service will follow at the church with Rev. Joseph Moses officiating. Interment will be in Woolfcreek Cemetery.

Patsy Sue (Longmire) Turner, age 64, of LaFollette passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013.  She was of the Baptist faith and a 1979 LPN graduate of TN School of Nursing.  .
Preceded in death by husband of 34 years, Charlie C. Turner, Sr.; parents, Bill & Lizzie Harris Longmire; sisters, Betty L. Longmire, Lela V. Love, Billie Claiborne; brothers, J. T. and Eugene Longmire; fiancé, Jerry Wayne Jackson.
