Thomas Louise Davis, age 67 formerly of Clinton passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013 after a brief illness at the home of his nephew Ralph and Kim Jones of Lake City.  He was born August 2, 1945 in Devonia, Tennessee to Furden and Rachel Byrge Davis who are deceased. He was of the Baptist Faith. Thomas loved inventing and was a handyman, a jack of all trades, and a friend to all. He was loved by all. He is survived by his brother: A.Y. (Faye) Davis, his sisters, Alice Jones, Jane (John) Lane all of Clinton, Extra Special Friends Kathy Webber, Mary Kathleen Lee and Dot Taylor, all of Clinton, Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Numerous Friends.

Family wishes to thank Dr. Salaita and the UT Medical Center for their care and compassion.  They would also like to thank UT Hospice for their excellent care, and to the caregivers Nephew Ralph Jones and Wife Kim for the wonderful care they provided to him.

Several other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Main Street Baptist Church in Lake City.

Funeral Service: 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Byrge, and Rev. Wayne Phillips officiating.

Interment: Friends and Family will meet at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Hatmaker Funeral Home to go in procession to the Oak Grove Cemetery for a 1:00p.m. burial and graveside service.

Lucille Younker, age 87 passed away peacefully on January 23, 2013. She was born on February 20, 1925 in Lake City (Coal Creek) to Luke and Bertha (Hatmaker) Stansberry.  She always proudly told about working in the “Secret City”, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, where she participated in the making of the Atomic Bomb. She married her first husband, Andrew Foust and they moved to Toledo, Ohio where she remained the rest of her life.  After Andrew’s death, she married Edward Younker and became a stepmother and a step grandmother. In addition to her parents, Lucille is preceded in death by her sister Mildred Shingledecker, and her son, Sam Foust.
