James Douglas “Doug” Housley, age 85, of Oak Ridge, formerly of LaFollette went peacefully to be with the Lord, February 14, 2012 with his loving wife, of 41 years and his daughter Suzie by his side. A proud US Army veteran and a retired Campbell County Highway truck driver. His interests included collecting coins, fishing, and gardening. Preceded in death by parents, Sherman and Mary Shelby Housley; brother, Charles Housley.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clint Hale & Alice (Phillips) Hale, siblings Lerie, Avery, Pauline, & Arzo, and other aunts & uncles.
He is survived by his wife Carol (Kline) Hale of Caryville, sons Michael S. Hale & wife Norma of Middletown, OH, Brent Levan & wife Deanna of Urbana, OH, daughter Christine Shaver & husband Michael of New Lebanon, OH, grandsons Sean Hale, Justin LeVan, and Chad Levan, granddaughters Shana Hale and Alison Shaver, great-grandchildren Aiden & Emma Jo O’Conner, sisters Pearl Hargrove and Aline Kirkland, brothers James Hale & wife Betty and Billy Hale & wife Katy, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest Baptist Church with Rev Mack Smith officiating. Interment will be on Saturday, February 18, 2012 in the Harness Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
