Sgt.Lonnie Taylor, age 65, of Jacksboro passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Knoxville. Sgt. Taylor received the Purple Heart and Commendation medal while serving active duty in Vietnam. He was a member of the Ivey Dell Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising animals, and working in the yard. He loved his family and grandchildren very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents John & Cindy Taylor, and brothers Lester, Luther, Ed, and Kennith Taylor.

He is survived by his wife Judy Taylor of Jacksboro, sons Lonnie Taylor Jr. and wife Angel of Jacksboro and Steve Taylor and wife Charlotte of LaFollette, brother Jess Taylor of LaFollette, Sisters Sue Smith and Ella Nolan both of LaFollette, 9 grandchildren, several nieces & nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, March6th, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Martin Wilson Chapel. Funeral service will follow the visitation with Rev JR Dilbeck officiating. Interment will be on Wednesday, March7th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chadwell Cemetery. Campbell County Honor Guard in charge of graveside services.
