James R. Phillips, age 77, of Clinton, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was born April 12, 1935 in New River to the late Tommy and Sarah Bunch Phillips. James was a member of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church in the Marlow Community. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends especially his grandchildren. In addition to parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Betty Phillips; daughter, Teresa Jeffers; and granddaughter, Angie Phillips Survivors: Sons Wayde Phillips and wife, Carolyn Knoxville Joe Phillips Clinton Gary Phillips and wife, Jenny Clinton Darrell Phillips and wife, Martha Clinton David Phillips and wife, Regina Lake City Brother Clyde Phillips Joyner Sisters Sabra Potter Lake City Dolly Morris Joyner Thelma Overbay Clinton Nine Grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
