Kathleen Martin, age 88, of Clinton, TN passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012. She was a very loving & devoted wife, mother, grandmother, & friend that enjoyed her family and life on Norris Lake. She was an educator in the states of West Virginia, Kentucky, & Tennessee. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of LaFollette and the Eastern Star in Charleston, WV.

She was preceded in death by her husband Denver Martin, brother Kern Messinger, and sisters Inez Smith, Lura Lee Lawson, Marie Spurlock, Oneta Jane Pack, Iris Jean Adkins, & Sue Lawson.

She is survived by her daughter Denise Pennington & husband James of Clinton, sister Marlene Farley & husband Nick of New Mexico, grandchildren James C. Pennington & wife Robin and Andrea M. Dubois & husband David, and great-grandchildren Cole, Luke, & Gage Pennington and Cade Dubois.

A gathering of family and friends for a celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 6:00 pm. Interment will be on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 10:00 am in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to Martin Wilson Funeral Home or donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Kathleen’s honor.
