Betty Jean Daugherty, age 75, of Paris, TN passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. She was formerly of Dalton, GA and lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Chris & Dr. Jeff Mann for 6-1/2 years. She was married 37 years to Charles Daugherty who preceded her in death. She was a member of Cleveland Heights Baptist Church in Dalton, GA for more than 40 years. She was the department manager of Goody’s Clothing Store in Dalton, GA for 14 years. She loved all animals, especially her dog Roxie.

She was preceded in death by her father Frank Roach, mother Ethel Hatmaker, parents Noel & Mae Weaver, husband Charles Daugherty, and sister Opal Lee Roach.

She is survived by her daughter Chris Mann & husband Dr. Jeff of Paris, TN, special friend Ruth Fryer of Dalton, GA, brother-in-laws Lindon Daugherty & wife Madge of Jacksboro, TN and Andy Hill & wife Jolene of Dayton, OH, grandchildren Kourtney Varner of Cleveland, TN, Tiffany Mann of Akron, OH, and Mousa Shamieh of Martin, TN, great-grandchild Kaleigh Wallace of Akron, OH, special cousins Fay Head & husband Paul of Athens, TN, Sue Osborne of Jacksboro, TN, & Lagretta Cox & husband Gene of Dalton, GA.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 9th, 2012 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the Martin Wilson Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Bro Bruce Headrick & Pastor Bobby Ray Wilson officiating. Interment will be on Monday, December, 10th, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Willoughby Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Cleveland Heights Baptist Church in Dalton, GA to buy a bench in Betty’s name.

Johnny Ray Draughn age 26 of LaFollette, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by Grandmother Paralee Nelson.
