Michael Drake Curran, D.D.S., age 65 of the Catholic Faith, passed away peacefully in his home Thursday, January 3, 2013. Dr. Curran was the retired Founder and Director of the Roane State Community College Dental Hygiene program and was passionate about educating and serving his community and surrounding area with oral health prevention. Preceded in death by mother and father, Majorie Drake and Roy James Curran.

Jayetta Berry Branam age 77, of LaFollette, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at her home.  She was a member of Old Pathway Gospel Church and retired from Imperial Reading and Advance Food. Preceded in death by 1st Husband Clarence Branam, Parents Orace and Alice Leach Berry and an Infant Sister.

Rev. William Maynard (Pap) Parker age 81 of Alder Springs Community, LaFollette passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at LaFollette Medical Center.  He was a member of Shield of Faith Church.  Preceded in death by wife, Lola Mae Smith Parker, parents, Jimmy Parker and Flora Wilson Parker.

Survivors: Son, Danny Parker and wife, Brenda of Jacksboro; Daughters, Phyllis Parker Ford and husband, James of LaFollette, Beverly Kitts and husband, Jerry of LaFollette, April White and husband, Michael of Pleasant Shade, TN; Nine Grandchildren, Joshua Parker, Cody Parker, Christopher Dial, Isaac Ford, Jeremy Kitts, Andrea Beth Kitts Allen and husband, Rev. Kenny Allen, Michelle Kitts, Talyn White, and Noah White. Two Great-grandchildren, Rece Dial and Chris Dial; Special niece, Angela Keller, and many other nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services Saturday 8 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Smith officiating.  Family and friends will meet Sunday at 10:15 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Shelby Cemetery for 11 A.M. graveside services and interment.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Raymond Clyde King, age 61, of LaFollette passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013. He was a member of Grace Missionary Church. He was a very loving husband of 43 years and served in the United States Marine Corps. He loved his country, animals, and spending time with his family. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Paul & Edna (Marlow) King. 

He is survived by his wife Janice King of LaFollette, brother Victor Carroll & wife Loraine of Jellico, sisters Margie Kennedy & husband Paul of Missouri, Renea Herman & husband Bill of LaFollette, Teresa Pitcock & husband David of Greenville, TN, Kathy Solu & husband Leuis of LaFollette, Deborah Carroll of LaFollette, and Pam Muncey & husband Lynn of Maynardville, as well as several nieces, nephews & friends. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the Martin Wilson Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev Sam White officiating. Interment will be on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 11:00 am at Woodlawn Cemetery.
